Amber is new to the board but has over twenty years experience in the conservation field- the environment is her biggest passion! Amber is an Environmental Scientist for a local consulting firm, Impact7G, and before that traveled through South America facilitating scientific projects on monkeys, birds, bats, plants, and mammals. Amber is also involved with the City of Minneapolis Sustainability Department, the Minnesota Chapter of Conservation Biologists, the Wetlands Professional Association, and Be Zero Minneapolis.
Amber facilitates a blog, Zero Wasted, aimed at spreading knowledge about living a more sustainable lifestyle by creating less waste. She writes about swapping out products that have a waste bi-product with ones that do not, how to start your own composting system, how to shop the bulk aisle to eliminate plastic waste and excess packaging, and more.
Amber and her husband, Brett, live in Minneapolis with their chocolate Lab, Toby. They love to be outside – hiking, floating the creek, stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, running, and skijooring.
