Two ice shelves in Canada’s far north have lost massive sections since August.
The Wilkins Ice Shelf has experienced further break-up with an area of about 160 square
kilometers breaking off.
Researchers monitoring daily satellite images of Greenland’s glaciers have discovered
break-ups at two of the largest glaciers in the last month.
Scientists saying that a global warming "tipping point" in the Arctic seems to be happening before their eyes. Sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is at its second lowest level in about 30 years.
