For a multitude of reasons, the health effects of poor air quality fall disproportionately on urban areas with lower-income residents and residents of color. While these issues are not new, a number of state and local initiatives will influence how we address air quality and its relationship to health moving forward.
Participants in this forum will explore a diverse set of perspectives on what would need to be done in order to address air quality and its effects on health equity in Minnesota.

Dine out and do good!
For the month of December we will be donating all our BOOST resources to Standing Rock. In lieu of partnering with a non profit, all money raised by rounding up at our register in the month of December, from sales of Standing Rock Buttons and from our Dine Out Night (35% of our proceeds) will go to support the Water Protector Legal Collective/NLG-formerly Red Owl Legal Collective
Please share this event widely and bring your family and friends! Together we will #BetheBOOST and stop the Dakota Access Pipeline to protect indigenous land, water and culture. Our future depends on it.

Northern Lights.mn, the producers of the Northern Spark festival, sees winter as a defining key to our cultural imagination, one that must be cherished even as its existence is threatened by global climate change. For B-Lectric, Northern Lights will construct custom ice walls that at sunset will become projection screens for a variety of light-based projects. Highlights include Joshua McGarvey's Ice Fall-Feel the Change, which allows audiences to feel glaciers calving as they lean back into sound beds, and a documentary compilation by local curator Graci Horne, which will showcase new footage from the ongoing pipeline resistance at Standing Rock, North Dakota.
