The Carver-Scott Extension Master Gardeners present a delightful day filled with expert speakers and curated sessions to learn about the place of gardening in a changing future. This day has something for everyone. You’ll also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, door prizes, silent auction items, and garden-related products sold by local vendors.
Experts include Prof. Lee Frelich, Director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Forest Ecology; Stan Tekiela, popular naturalist, wildlife photographer, and author of many best-selling field guides on wildflowers, birds, and trees; Beth Dooley, well-known food writer, restaurant critic, and author of Minnesota's Bounty: The Farmer's Market Cookbook; as well as University of Minnesota Extension educators and our own master gardeners. Varied topics include Climate Change and Minnesota Ecosystems; Uncommon Facts about Common Birds; What to do with Backyard Bounty; Invasive Insects in Minnesota; Watering Wisely; Ornamental Plant Selection and Garden Design Tips; Energy Saving Landscapes; and Tiny Earthworms, Big Impact.

Family Fitness Expo is devoted to promoting exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness in families and our community. As well as giving away prizes to encourage family health.
Over $1000 in free prizes!
The Family Fitness Expo was created to educate kids, parents, and grandparents on new exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness techniques, products, and services.
We created our own magazine featuring a fun and healthy article from Natural Awakenings magazine. And contacts for great local health, fitness, and nutritional providers. The magazine is handed out at the show and mailed to 1800 local residents.
This year we also added a FITNESS ZONE, NUTRITION ZONE, and SPA ZONE with fun giveaways from our Prize Sponsors.
Ryan Cahill founder of the Family Fitness Expo has created and promoted over 75 shows throughout Minnesota, in his career. He designed and launched the Family Fitness Expo in 2015 and has expanded to multiple yearly shows in the east and west Twin Cities metro.
