Update: We’re pleased to announce that the Do It Green! Seed Library has found a home near the stage in the center of Midtown Global Market.

Stop by to drop off your extra seeds or pick up new-to-you seeds as you begin making your garden plans for next season!

The Do It Green! Seed Library Program improves access to healthy, locally grown foods and promotes the use of native plants as a sustainable landscaping and gardening practice throughout the Twin Cities by

  • Providing free native or organic vegetable and flower seeds to Twin Cities residents
  • Offering Seed Swaps, events at which community members can exchange seeds with one another
  • Distributing educational information on seed saving

If you have seeds to share and a business, school, church, or Little Free Library to house them, you can use our envelope labels to make your seed sharing simple and easy. Download the label template below, print them out, and fill in the details about your seeds. The labels are designed to fit on a variety of envelopes.
