Category: General Pledge to pull garlic mustard at Crosby Farm Park

May 2, 2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Crosby Farm Park is a natural oasis in the heart of the city, nestled at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. On Tuesday, May 2, volunteers will be working in an area home to a striking array of spring wildflowers native to Minnesota alongside Friends of the Mississippi River staff.
After a brief introduction and training, volunteers will help protect these and other important members of the native plant community by removing the extremely invasive plant garlic mustard, then pledge to return to the area to continue this much-needed work. Please note that we ask all registrants at this particular event to sign a Pledge to Pull, promising to remove garlic mustard in this area of Crosby Park in the weeks following this training and evening pull.
Volunteers pledge to a total of 8 hours of garlic mustard removal Pulling technique and additional details will be covered during the training. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit us at: http://fmr.org/events/2017/05/02/pledge-pull-garlic-mustard-crosby-farm-park
