Join Friends of the Mississippi River Saturday, October 7, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. as we spend the morning lopping buckthorn and hauling brush near the oak savanna and woodland along the Longfellow neighborhood of south Minneapolis.
Volunteers will work closely with FMR staff to remove buckthorn and other invading trees, shrubs, and plants as well as hauling brush to its pick-up spot.
Tools, gloves and training will be provided. However, be prepared to work on steep slopes and uneven terrain.
Due to the tools and terrain, this event is not suitable for small children.
